d&r canal
nj
this canal spans over 70 miles with access points in several New Jersey counties. it is really good for biking/walking/running.
lots of wildlife spotted here! the Griggstown section was home to ex-cryptid Griggstown Cow, a feral cow who was believed to be a ghost by local residents for 30 years.
access point at Blackwells Mills Road in Franklin has a nice, open picnic area with tables and further into the towpath in this section there is a small dock along the canal
where I once sat for a peaceful wawa lunch.
